Durango Mountain Resort is known as a top, family-friendly resort since it offers a variety of activities for all ages, including a great kids’ program designed for parents who want to get out and experience the slopes but want to ensure the kiddos are safe and having fun as well.
Durango Mountain Resort is home to the Snow Monsters Den! What are Snow Monsters? They’re not scary, they are furry and they love to play in the snow, just like you! The Snow Monsters Den is a quality, licensed childcare facility for those too young to hit the slopes. Blizzard Babies are kept cozy in our indoor facility, while the Snowshoe Roos and Powder Pigs engage in snow play and Nordic skiing and a ton of other fun activities. Your child will have a blast in this fun, interactive environment while being under the care of our experienced staff.
The Snow Monsters Den child care hours of operation coincide with lift/mountain operations and is open from 9 am to 4 pm. Reservations are required. 970-385-2144

Snow PACK (Purgatory Adventure Camp for Kids), a spin-off from the Summer PACK program, is an exciting, fun, new day camp for children ages 7-12 who love outdoor WINTER adventures! Kids will make new friends and participate in fun winter activities, such as tubing, snowshoeing, Nordic skiing, scavenger hunts, building snow sculptures, forts and igloos, and more! Other programs include learning winter skills and safety and doing arts and crafts projects. We give kids time to be kids, be creative, socialize and have fun! Included: daily hot lunch, daily bus transportation to/from Durango/Purgatory, winter program gear rentals (such as tubes, snowshoes, etc), arts & craft supplies and a free Snow PACK t-shirt. Cost of program is $275 per child. This program is available February 20-24, 2012 only. Space is limited. 970-385-2144

Ages: 2 months - 10 years (separated by age appropriate groups and ratios)
Prices: $30 per child for the night, dinner included for children eating table food.
